Kevin H. Weed, P.L.S.
Kevin graduated from Paul Smiths College in 2007 with a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science/Natural Science and has been a member of NYSAPLS in association with Eastern (ENYSPLS) since 2007. Kevin obtained his Professional Land Surveying License and became a member of the PLLC in 2017.
Kevin joined Gilbert VanGuilder Land Surveyor, PLLC in 2007 as a GPS Technician/ AutoCAD Drafter/ Wetland Technician and Environmental Technician. He has experience with Wetland delineation, N.Y.S.D.E.C. permitting, A.C.O.E. permitting, AutoCAD drafting, Trimble GPS data collection, Trimble GPS post-processing and data conversions. Kevin is very detail oriented and takes great pride in each project he works on.
Michael Leggett - Project Technician
Mike originally joined the Gilbert VanGuilder Land Surveyor, PLLC team in 2005 as a rodman.
Mike has experience in the field with robotic total stations, and various GPS systems. With his hard work and attention to detail, Mike became a Field Technician / Crew Chief. Not only producing quality field work, but also, training new field crew members.
Mike is a hardworking, fast paced individual who always completes the job in an orderly and timely fashion.
After several years as a Field Technicion / Crew Chief, Mike continued his growth here at Gilbert VanGuilder, Land Surveyor, PLLC, by coming in from the field and learning skills in Computer Aided Drafting, Project Reseach and Boundary Analysis. Today, Mike is a Project Technician with years of experience in the field, Mike’s knowledge and skill set helps make it possible for us to produce quality finished products.
Mackenzie Weed - Office Manager
Mackenzie attended SUNY Cobleskill where she studied Social Science. Before joining our team in 2014, Mackenzie was a NYS Licensed Insurance Broker/ Financial Products and Life Insurance Broker, handeling sales as well as providing customer service and record keeping. Mackenzie also brings with her, team managment kills that she obtains from years of managing a staff and household for WWARC, where she was resposable for her staff as well as her clients.
As part of the team here at Gilbert VanGuilder Land Surveyor, PLLC, Mackenzie manages accounts payable/receivable, payroll, health insurnace benifits, employee retirement benifits , general record keeping and business management, along with providing excellent customer service.
Michael Timpano - Field Technician
Mike attended Hudson Valley Community College where he obtained his A.A.S. Business Administration Degree in 2006 and his A.A.S. Civil Engineering Degree in 2013.
Mike joined our team as a Field Crew member in 2016. He brings with him experience in topographic surveying, high definition scanning and fathometer technology. Mike is a certified ACI- concrete field testingtechnician (Grade1) and NETTCP- Soil/Aggregate Field Insprctor as well as being certified in Confined Space Entry.
In addition to being an experienced Field Technician, Mike has began training to become a Project Technician. Learning skills in Computer Aided Drafting, Project Research and Boundary Analysis.
Mike's wide range of knowledge and excerience makes him a valued member of our team.
Robert Wilklow, P.L.S.
Bob graduated from Hudson Valley Community College in 1987 with a A.A.S. degree in Construction Technology and has been a member of NYSAPLS in association with Eastern (ENYSPLS) since 1994.
Bob joined Gilbert VanGuilder Land Surveyor, PLLC in 1987 as a rod person. Bob worked for our team until 2005, when he left for about a year and a half to gain additional experience. Bob re-joined the Gilbert VanGuilder Land Surveyor, PLLC team in 2006 and has been growing with us ever since. In 2009 Bob obtained his Professional Land Surveying License, at that point became the third Professional Licensed Land Surveyor on our team.
In 2010 Bob was elected to the Eastern Board of Directors. Bob has been the Eastern Secretary since 2011.
Bob is a hard working valued member of our team with experience in several areas such as: Construction layout and computations, Boundary Surveys both in the field and the analysis and boundary determination in the office, preparing legal descriptions for attorneys to use as part of a Deed, preparing applications for The Zoning Board of Appeals and/or Planning Boards.
Bob became a member of the PLLC in 2015.
Duane Rabideau, P.L.S.
After approximatley 37 years with Gilbert VanGuilder Land Surveyor, PLLC, Duane retired in May, 2022.
Jacquelyn Pitts - Wetland Technitian
Jackie joined our team as a rod person in 2018. She is a fast learner and has great attention to detail, allowing her to transition to a Field Technician in a short period of time. As a Field Tchnician Jackie has experience with robotic total stations and various GPS systems. Jackie has also gained experience in point computation, Deed research, and boundary analysis under the direction of a licensed surveyor.
Jackie is an avid "outdoorsman", she values and appreciats nature, which is why she was a great addition to our Wetlands Department. As a Wetland Technician/ Environmental Technician she has experience with Wetland delineation, N.Y.S.D.E.C. permitting, A.C.O.E. permitting as well as Computer-Aided Drafting. Jackie is very detail oriented and takes pride in each project she works on.
With her wide range of experience and knowledge in the surveying field, Jackie is now working on obtaining her Professional Land Surveying License.
Patrick Jarosz - Project Manager
Pat attended Hudson Valley Community College where he obtained an Associates Degree in Science, Individual Studies . He is also a NYS Certified Code Enforcement Official.With over 35 years of experience , holding a number of positions, including Code Enforcemnet Officer with the Town of Clifton Park. Pat brings a plethora of first hand knowledge with him. In addition to years of experience, Pat has special training in several areas that give him an advantage when it comes to helping guide clients with their project planning and presenting projects to town boards for approvals.
Gilbert VanGuilder
Gilbert established Gilbert VanGuilder Land Surveyor, PLLC in 1985. After years of hard work, dedication and providing quality professional servieces, Gilbert was able to retire in 2021 with approximatley 50 years of service in his field.
Liam Hanehan - Field Technitian
Liam attended SUNY Cobleskill where he obtained an Associates Degree in Agricultural Business. He is currently attenting Louisiana State University where he is working toward his Undergraduate Certificate in Construction Management.
Liam joined our team as a field crew memeber in 2023. He brings with him almost ten years of management and construction experience. As part owner /operator of a Dairy Farm, Liam understands hard work , time management and the importance of working as part of a team. Liam's work ethic and range of knowledge makes him a valued addition to our team.
Carter Doesburg - Trainee
Carter joined our team in November, of 2023 as a High School student at Burnt Hills- Ballston Lake Central School. Carter is a driven and focused young professional, set to graduate High School in June, 2024 . He will continue his education in the surveying field , attending Suny ESF Ranger School/ Suny Schenectady Community College in 2025.
Carter has already proven to be a valuable employee, eager to learn and grow. We are excited to be a part of Carter's professional growth journey.
Karl Miller - Field Technitian
Karl attented Paul Smith's College of Arts and Science where he obtained a Bachelors of Science in Forestry, an Associates of Applied Science in Surveying and an Associates of Applied Science in Forest Tech.
Karl joined our team as a field crew member in 2024. Karl brings with him not only his education and field experience, he also brings a strong work ethic from being a previous business owner himself. Karl has experience with running robotic total stations, GPS equipment and GIS software as well as boundary surveying, and topographic mapping. Karl's knowledge in the field and work ethic, make him a valued addition to our team.
